Revision Nose Aesthetics

Revision nose aesthetics is the operation of people who have previously had nose surgery for various reasons. While these causes may be reasons such as excess or less tissue removal from the nose during the previous surgery; patient-related skin features, facial asymmetry, curved nose can also be another reason. Sometimes, surgery may be required for functional reasons. Sometimes we can perform minor interventions (such as filling) under local anesthesia, but sometimes major revisions may be required under general anesthesia.

In nose aesthetics, we use septum cartilage under normal conditions while forming the nose. However, since this cartilage was used in previous surgeries, it may be necessary to take cartilage from the ear or ribs in revision surgeries. In patients who do not want this, treated rib cartilage or synthetic materials can be used.

Revision nasal aesthetics can be done at the earliest 6 months after the first operation, more conveniently 1 year later. Even in patients with thick skin, it can be expected up to 1.5 years.

Surgery may not be performed on every patient who wants revision. Taking into account the original nose of the patient, revision surgery may not be preferred if the appearance of the nose is reasonable. It should not be forgotten that each nose can be shaped differently, and sometimes the nose shape that the patient wants may not be suitable for him.

The postoperative and attention issues are the same as those after the primary nose surgery and the doctor's recommendations must be strictly followed.
